The intensification of information warfare in the modern world requires an in-depth study and systematization of the achievements and miscalculations of Soviet theory and propaganda practice in order to adopt and rethink the positive experience gained. In this regard, the forms and methods of propaganda among the population are of particular interest, especially in difficult historical periods, when workers on the “ideological front” were entrusted with tasks on a national scale.

The main research methods were problem-chronological, comparative and systemic, based on the principles of science and historicism.
