Annotation
Introduction. For the successful socio-economic development of a multiethnic region, it is extremely important to study the historical and cultural characteristics of the peoples inhabiting it, their daily practices, and the specifics of interethnic relations. In this regard, the issues of social well-being of ethnic diasporas in a multinational republic seem relevant in the context of the intensification of migration processes in modern Russia.
Materials and methods. During the writing of the article, the material of scientific literature and open sources, including on the ethnic history of the region, was summarized and analyzed. The results of research conducted by the staff of the Scientific Center for Socio-Economic Monitoring were used.
Results and discussion. Тhe article presents an assessment of the social well-being of representatives of the Armenian Diaspora in Mordovia at the present stage. Various aspects of social well-being are shown in dynamics. The Armenians of Mordovia demonstrate a relatively high level of cohesion of the national diaspora. This may indicate that they do not feel the need to fully integrate into the Russian environment, and to maintain close ties with their diaspora group, which is important for their favorable social well-being.
Conclusion. The social well-being of the representatives of the Armenian Diaspora at the present stage is considered from the perspective of economic, socio-cultural and socio-political components. Most representatives of the Armenian Diaspora, actively involved in the economic space of the region, positively assess their financial situation; preserving their culture and language, internal cohesion and mutual assistance, get involved in the socio-cultural life of the region and interact kindly with the host community; having a low protest potential, demonstrate Russian identity; They are optimistic about the future and are not going to change their place of residence.
