Abstraсt
Introduction. The modern history of Russia is characterized by the introduction of new tools in the implementation of social and economic policy, one of which is national projects. State control over the implementation of programs is carried out by monitoring their targets. No less important is the assessment of public perception of the government's plans, which is indicated, among other things, by publications in the media and the response of the population to them.
Materials and methods. The basic materials for the study were the publications of highly rated regional media and social media pages and messengers, the content analysis of which allowed us to determine the degree of their social significance. Historical and systemic analysis to consider the reflection in the media sphere of the mechanisms of implementation and implementation of the national project “Culture”. Statistical methods allowed us to assess the activity of regional media in the presentation of the policy of regional authorities in the field of culture, as well as the main trends in the media of the national project “Culture”; A correlation analysis of the interrelationships between the content of the messages about the national project “Culture” and the reactions of Internet users revealed a low interest of the population in the work of government.
Results and discussion. The promotion of the events of the national project “Culture” in the republican media was conducted in accordance with the development of the projects themselves. The main news content focused on projects reflecting positive changes in infrastructure. The leading method of presenting national project news is reprint reproduction of official press releases. Insufficiently established media feedback from the audience and a formal approach in presenting the content of the project's activities are the reasons for the weak public interest in the work of regional authorities to implement cultural policy.
Conclusion. Based on the results obtained, the picture of interaction between government and society in the region was presented, using the example of coverage of the work on the implementation of the national project “Culture”. Recommendations were also proposed for further improvement of the work of the media in covering the state program under consideration.
